Metabolism is the process in which the body turns the foods we eat into energy so our body can be active when needed.  We also know that we need vitamins and minerals each day.  Did you also know that you can use vitamins to increase metabolism?  Yes, that's right, speed up your metabolism and you can shed some extra weight.

Our metabolism starts to slow down as we get older.  For men this is about age 40 and for women at age 30.  If we even eat the same types of foods we used to eat, our bodies start having problems digesting the food normally and we start to gain weight.  This will vary between each person, the food that is eaten and how active you are.  Using vitamins to increase metabolism or speed up our metabolism, may be the answer.

Vitamins to increase metabolism can be found in metabolism increasing pills.  These are mainly made up of Coenzyme Q10.  Other pills that will speed up your metabolism are antioxidants.  These contain vitamins for metabolism.  All of these vitamins help speed up your metabolism.  You can also try things like green tea and ginseng to increase your metabolism.

The best way to increase your metabolism is to be sure you are eating the right foods.  You must watch what you eat from the moment you get up (breakfast) until bedtime.  Watch what you are snacking on during the day.  Add good foods to snack on (fruits and vegetables), not junk.  These will help speed up your metabolism.  Do not starve your body.  This will actually slow down your metabolism which is the opposite of what people would think.  The same thing goes with eating too much.  It will have an adverse effect on your metabolism.

Many people believe that starving there body will help them loose the weight fats.  This is not true.  You may loose the weight eventually, but what will happen when you start eating again is you are going to gain the weight back twice as fast.  The body’s metabolism cannot process at the same rate anymore.  The same thing happens when you overeat.

Talk to your doctor and see which vitamins that help and speed up your metabolism.  You may be just able to eat the fruits and vegetables.  Sometimes the doctor may add pills (vitamins to increase metabolism).  It will depend on what kind of health you are in and what age you are.
